Last updated: September 14, 2026. Studio One News accepts specific, evidence-based correction requests. Accuracy remains a responsibility after publication.
How to report an error
Use the Contact page. Include the article URL, the exact statement or media item at issue, the correction requested and a reliable source or document when available.
How requests are reviewed
An editor should compare the published material with reporting notes, primary records and other relevant evidence. The newsroom may contact the requester, reporter or subject for clarification. A request to remove accurate information solely because it is inconvenient is not a correction.
Correction, clarification and update
Correction: a factual error that changes or could change a reader’s understanding is fixed and an explanatory note is added. Clarification: accurate wording that could reasonably mislead is revised and may receive a note. Update: new information is added to a developing report and the updated time is shown. Typographical fix: minor spelling, grammar or formatting errors that do not alter meaning may be fixed without a note.
Headlines, images, social posts and video
When an error appears in a headline, thumbnail, caption, social post or video description controlled by Studio One News, that element should be corrected together with the article. A material video error may require a description note, an on-screen clarification or replacement.
Privacy, safety and unpublishing
When evidence is insufficient, a claim creates an avoidable safety risk, or publication unjustifiably exposes a child or vulnerable person, the newsroom may remove the disputed material or place the article in private editorial review. Unpublishing is an editorial remedy assessed against accuracy, public interest, privacy, safety and the available record.
Transparency and record
A correction note should state what was wrong and what is now correct without repeating avoidably harmful information. The original publication date remains visible, and significant updates display an updated date. Complete requests should be acknowledged promptly, though complex reviews can take longer.
Further review
If a request is not resolved, send additional evidence through the Contact page and ask for further editorial review. A different editor should reassess the matter when practical.
